Warranty and Product Returns

We will always meet our obligations under the The Consumer Guarantees Act and the Fair Trading Act under New Zealand law.

Product Warranty

All new products supplied are backed by the original manufacturer's return to base warranty. Any item's found to be defective within this warranty period must be returned to us for warranty replacement or repair. Warranty does not cover freight or courier cost's should you reside outside of the Christchurch region.

Used or refurbished products are covered by a 1 to 3 month return to base warranty depending on the item in question. Warranty extensions are available at additional cost.

Should our services be required to remove supplied defective upgrades or components then we will provide this at our standard rate less 40%

Warranty claims may fail if...

  • The product has been opened, altered or a repair attempted
  • The product has been damaged by incorrect installation or assembly
  • The product has been damaged regardless of the cause of damage
  • The product has been used or operated in an incorrect manner

Service Guarantee

All of our services are guaranteed. Should you feel we have not provided an suitable repair or service we will do our best to correct the situation as quickly as possible or refund your money in full. Parts and freight costs are non-refundable.

GPU rework and in depth electronic work is covered by a 3 month limited warranty. Any repairs that fail with the same symptoms will be repaired without charge.

Repeated repairs place a large amount of stress on other delicate components on modern computer logic / motherboards and so we cannot guarantee the success should the initial repair fail within the 3 month period. We will in all cases be fair.


New or used goods returned for credit must be returned within 7 days of purchase. All returns must be in the original undamaged packaging and with the original invoice.

Specially ordered part's or products sourced from New Zealand which are to be return will require a restocking fee of $25.00

Specially ordered part's or products sourced from outside New Zealand may incur postage and packing costs to return the item to our supplier

We cannot accept returns for any of the following reasons:

  • You changed your mind or your employment situation suddenly changes
  • Incorrect part or product ordered without confirming suitability with us.
  • Goods are replacement parts and have been used / installed, LCD panels, memory modules , Hard drives etc.
  • The goods are consumable items such as batteries, blank CD/DVD items and have been used.
  • The goods are not in original condition with the original invoice.
  • The goods consist of computer software or software downloads.
  • Any laptop batteries or consumable items that have been used or installed.

Payment Terms and Conditions

  • Full payment must be made in full within 7 working days from the invoice date to avoid additional charges.
  • Products and upgrades purchased online or pre-ordered require payment in full before delivery / shipping
  • Custom computer builds require a 25% deposit on ordering with the balance due prior to delivery / shipping.
  • Web design contracts require a initial 25% deposit and may require progress payments to be made as the design progresses.
  • Goods sold remain the property of Ohno Mobile Computer Repairs Limited until the invoice is paid in full.
